Canon introduced the HD movide feature in EOS 500D

Finally, Canon loyalists would be happy because Canon releases a camera body to compete against the Nikon D90. The recently announced Canon EOS–500D is an upper entry–level camera that includes 15 megapixel sensor 12800 ISO Sensitivity, and more interestingly it records HD 1080P video. Just like the Canon EOS–5D Mark II, the 1080P video on the 500D beats the 720P resolution on the Nikon D90. Here’s more on the 500D

What makes it different from its predecessor, Canon Eos 450D?
Higher resolution of 15MP, higher ISO sensitivity up to 3200 (expandable), inclusion of Full HD movie recording with HDMI connection for viewing and playback on an HDTV similar to Nikon D90, can perform a maximum of 170 large JPEG images in a single burst, and is compatible with the new Speedlike 270EX. Based on the given features, it seems its a better camera than Canon EOS 50D.
