Canon Kagay-an Festival Photography Competition

Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc in cooperation with Canon dHub store (Limketkai, CDO) is inviting everyone...photography enthusiasts, professionals, amateurs, and hobbyists in its First Canon Kagay-an Festival Photography Competition. This is one way for Canon to promote the various sights and sounds of the upcoming Cagayan de Oro Festival.

This photography competition is open to Canon digital camera users only, either professional or amateur. To join the contest, you visit dHub store in Limketkai Mall for registration not later than August 21,2010 (3:00 pm). You will be given personal data form, photo entry form and an undertaking form.

Submission of entries will start on August 30, 2010 until September 6, 2010 (3:00 pm). Photos to be submitted should be in digital (jpeg) format with a minimum file size of 1 Mb with image size of A4 (either landscape or portrait orientation) saved in a CD. A participant may submit 2 photo entries only.

Photos should be taken within Kagay-an Festival period, August 26-29, 2010, and cover accredited events of the said festival.

Photos should not be edited or altered using any commercial software and that enhancement of images should only be done using camera features only.

Criteria for judging are:

  • Content,value, originality = 30%
  • Visual impact = 30%
  • Artistic Merit = 30%
  • Relevance = 10%
The top 20 entries shall be printed and will be included in the photo exhibit. Winners will receive Canon Digital Camera, Canon Video Camera, and Canon All-in-One Printer for the First Placer, Second Placer, and Third Placer, respectively. All winners will also receive plaque of award while the other finalists will receive Certificate of Award.
